Finn has a fascination of late in metal chains hanging in public areas. She wants to touch them, hang from them, inspect them..... like this one, outside the courthouse/library in Sylva, and on every fire hydrant she walks by.
Jackson County Courthouse, at the top of 98 steps. We walked up and then back down every single one. (There may have been 99 and we miscounted, because this walkway was built in 1999.)
Finn is wearing her Mardi Gras necklace she made at library storytime.
back to our favorite playground in Sylva
Finn was determined to push Crusoe everywhere in the stroller. Crusoe seemed a little skeptical.
Besides pushing him in the stroller, Finn also regularly wants to pick Crusoe up now, so here is MB giving her lessons in the correct way to help him stand up ("don't lift him by his neck").
Finn loved running through the carpeted halls of the Renaissance Marriott in Asheville. "Very nice carpet!" she commented. We don't know if she was admiring the texture or the design.
This was our favorite hotel pool to date (out of 3 this week and last). It was salt water, and felt better than the chlorinated pools. Finn and Crusoe must have liked it better, too, because they both wanted to swim more and Finn took more risks... floating on her back, dunking her head, blowing bubbles.
