Business trip to Sylva, part I (Monday)

On Feb. 13, Maribeth started a new job as Community Care Coordinator with Smoky Mountain Center, a mental health agency.  She had 3 days of training in Sylva, NC (about 4 hours SW of us), so the family tagged along to enjoy her hotel and pool privileges.
We ate yogurt on the drive down.

Finn looks older wearing sunglasses, doesn't she?

We tried to pack light.  (We only had to make one trip from the van to our hotel room.)

(2 trips if you count the kids' ride.)
Our room was spacious enough to allow a large play area.

Playing hide & seek in the beds
(They are really starting to play together now.)

They are beginning to wrestle some, and we have to remind them both to be gentle.

 'We're just playing, Mom!'

The little stuffed dog next to Finn is her newest 'baby'.  If you call it a dog, she will correct you.
Monday was Playground Reconnoissance day:  we were searching for the best ones.

And we found them!  Sylva has this amazing playground...

We also found the First Baptist Church playground to be very toddler-friendly.

'Don't burn yourself on the stove, Crusoe.'
 They loved this little playhouse.

Finn was very attentive to her 'baby' on the slide.
She took great care to make sure her baby stayed upright the whole way down.  (It's a very steep slide, too.)

Did I mention that Finn loves pasta?

She ate this whole plate of spaghetti by herself.
