We heard about "Twinkle Camp" last year and found out that it's an introduction to violin for 3-7 year olds, taught in the Suzuki method (the Mother Tongue approach). It sounded interesting, so we signed up Finn and Crusoe for this 4-day, 2 hours-each-morning camp.
We made our own bows and practiced bow (rhymes with 'go') exercises.
Then we built our own violins.
Then we learned how to hold our violins while standing in the proper position.
(Notice mats with feet outlined).
And, of course, no Twinkle Camp is complete without making crowns.
On the last day came the dizzying opportunity to use a REAL violin.
First, the bow (rhymes with 'wow'.)
