On July 11, our friend Beth Pittman died after a 2-year struggle with breast cancer, just one week after we had visited her. We delayed our trip to the beach by a day so we could attend her funeral service in Chapel Hill. Beth was a counselor with us at Camp E-Nini-Hassee in FL, so we reunited with several others 'chiefs' who also came to her service.

Baby Reece was less than a month old, and Finn was fascinated by him.
