A December visit from Gran

Gran came for a visit last week, when she thought she was being deployed by FEMA to Vermont or NY.  (Not until 2012, she found out after she arrived here.)
Of course, even in freezing weather, we went to the playground, where Finn likes to swing high enough so that she can "see town!"

Warmly wrapped up, Crusoe slept soundly.

On Monday, we drove to Asheville for the day, to visit old friends at Outward Bound and to see Aunt Paris and Aunt Elezene.
This was a 'moving picture' in which Betsy, Pete, Corey, and Nona all followed closely behind Finn to accommodate her tendency to wander during photo shoots.

Aunt Paris was impressed by how well Finn took care of her baby doll.  "I've never seen a doll treated with such care!"

Even though her baby has a pacifier, Finn always finds time to nurse her properly.
...although her burping style is a little unorthodox.

Back home to WJ and our 'Brandenburg Gate' swing.
The Rheutans sent us these wonderful reindeer shirts for the kids.  Finn loves that she and her brother are dressed alike. (I wonder how long this phase will last.)  All day she repeated "same!" as she pointed to her shirt, then to Crusoe's.
This morning, we posed for some family shots for our holiday card
(which will be going in the mail soon.  Let us know if you'd like one.)
Hugs goodbye!
