As Hurricane Isaac approached the MS Gulf Coast, Maribeth worked her last day of her less-than-satisfying job with Smoky Mountain Center on Aug. 27, and started her new professionally-challenging-and-stimulating job as Substance Abuse Counselor with Watauga County Schools on Aug. 29. Here's what we did on Aug. 28:
We went to Winston-Salem to visit Nana for the day.
Crusoe enjoyed finding rocks more than he did swimming.
(PS: We also called Hop, who was watching the water rise visibly in his yard from Isaac. Fortunately, their house stayed safe through the storm, on the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.)
