home again, home again, jiggity jog.

many of you faithful readers are aware that our good friend rio was lost. he ran off in the crazy storms of mother's day morning. i put up flyers all over campus, i posted his mug on craigslist and the animal shelter web page and www.lassiecomehomenc.org. tonight as i was coming home from graduation a lady called to tell me that she had him. i didn't want to get my hopes up at first, because what a bummer it would have been to believe that he was found and be wrong. but it was him and he's home now and he's had a lot to drink and eat and he's sleeping and twitching as if he's reliving his whole adventure in his dreams.

i'm so happy.

i'm so relieved.

i think i'll take him to work with me in the morning.
