so it's been a while and there has been nothing posted. did anyone even notice? i don't have any photographic proof, but i've been working really hard on renovating the garage apartment to get it ready for us to move in. we had three boys renting all three rooms in the house for the next school year. one of those boys doesn't like to clean up after himself and since that was going to be written more clearly in his renewed lease, he chose to move out. NOT a problem.
so, i've been home for the last several weeks and i have put down a new floor in the kitchen and bathroom, i have taken out the rotted bathroom sink cabinet and replaced the sink with a pedestal one, i have built new shelves and counter tops, i have framed in a closet in the actual garage, i have done the first half of the electrical for the soon-to-be-finished garage turned living room, i have arranged for a carpenter to close off the garage doors with one regular door and one french door and to put in windows on the west-facing wall, i have a new skil saw, a new tile saw, and a new powder actuated nail gun with which i have shot four nails into the concrete floor through a 2x4 and one nail into a railroad tie for practice.
sadly, you can't see any of it. but remi's supposed to be getting a camera for her birthday, so don't loose hope.

Damn, that's a lotta work! And hey, I told you to update this dang thing in the last post below. People do notice.
